22nd November 2013 Badgers Bloodstock's Chicquita Sells for Record Breaking €6,000,000
IRISH OAKS winner Chicquita on Friday night became the most expensive horse ever sold at auction in Ireland when selling for €6,000,000.  Chiquita was the star lot on offer as part of the dispersal of owner Paul Makin's horses in training, mares, foals and yearlings.

A TWO-year-old filly bred for speed has lived up to her pedigree with a debut sprint victory at Flemington.  The well-named Oakleigh Girl produced a performance of sustained speed to win today's Group III 7News Stakes (1000m) at Flemington, the opening race on Melbourne Cup day.

The planning of Randwick trainer John O’Shea with three-year-old filly Gypsy Diamond continued in exemplary fashion on Friday night with the filly winning the $220,000, Group 2 Jeep Don’t Hold Back Fillies Classic (1600m) at Moonee Valley.

22nd July 2013 Chicquita Conquers all in the Irish Oaks
Chicquita shed her maiden tag in the best possible fashion with victory in the Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh.  She gave Johnny Murtagh a slight scare as she veered to her left in the closing stages, finishing virtually on the stands side.
20th June 2013 Chicquita a gallant 2nd in record Prix De Diane (Gr 1)
Chicquita ran a eye-catching second to Treve in the Prix de Diane Longines (Group 1) at Chantilly over the weekend, where they broke the course record by over two seconds.   Settled out the back Chicquita made significant headway in the final two furlongs to grab second on the line.
